Invest in your oral health and experience the difference with our Dental Spa experience .

Our experienced dental hygienists and prevention assistants help you prevent gum problems (prevention assistants) and treat periodontitis (dental hygienists), a common inflammation that, if left untreated, can lead to tooth loss.
Through regular check-ups and professional cleaning, our dental hygienists and prevention assistants help you using the Guided Biofilm Protocol:
  • Plaque staining: Before cleaning teeth, we always stain the teeth with a plaque disclosing agent. This makes plaque and tartar visible, allowing us to provide constructive (and never patronizing!) instruction, ensuring that the salt jet treatment can be carried out efficiently.
  • Advice: We help you optimize your oral health in a positive way. We show you the best way to brush with an electric toothbrush, how to floss the contact surfaces between your teeth, because that is where cavities develop (!), and how to use interdental brushes or dental floss under the contact surfaces, because that is where gum inflammation develops.
  • Removing plaque and tartar: These are the main causes of gum inflammation. We do this with a salt blaster and ultrasonic cleaning and hand instruments if necessary, followed by polishing.
  • Detecting and treating early signs of gingivitis: This is how we prevent early gum inflammation from developing into periodontitis.
  • Effective treatment of periodontitis (dental hygienist): We use advanced techniques to combat inflammation, stabilize the situation, and help you keep your own teeth.
  • Application of medications: such as fluoride or chlorhexidine varnish, as indicated.

At our clinic , we clinic the revolutionary Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)This is a modern treatment method for professional dental cleaning and prevention, offering the following benefits:
  • Painless and comfortable: GBT uses warm water and a gentle powder jet, making the treatment much more pleasant than traditional methods.
  • Thorough and effective: It specifically removes biofilm (plaque), the main cause of cavities and gum problems. Even in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Safe for your teeth: This gentle technique does not damage tooth enamel and is ideal for cleaning around crowns, bridges, and implants.
  • Time-saving: Thanks to the efficiency of GBT, you can finish faster.
  • Invest in the health of your gums and enjoy a fresh mouth and a radiant smile for a lifetime.
Choose a Dental Spa with a dental hygienist or prevention assistant. The cost of an appointment with a prevention assistant or dental hygienist ranges from €80 to €150, depending on the duration and degree of difficulty. Reimbursement for the treatment depends on your (supplementary) dental insurance.
A prevention assistant claims M codes. A paro-prevention assistant claims M and T codes
A dental hygienist has completed a 4-year higher professional education program and is trained in treating patients with (advanced) periodontitis. A dental hygienist claims M or T codes (periodontitis).
The rate charged by a prevention assistant is generally slightly lower than that charged by a dental hygienist.
If you have booked an online appointment for a Dental Spa with a prevention assistant when you actually need periodontitis treatment from a dental hygienist, the prevention assistant will perform the treatment to a depth of 5 mm and advise you to schedule your next appointment with a dental hygienist. Conversely, a dental hygienist will refer you back to the prevention assistant if you do not have periodontitis (anymore).
